Jessie Rogowski has been editing for a very long time. Technically, she started at 11, when most kids were asking for barbie dreamhouse, Jessie was asking for Avid Cinema. She spent her childhood cutting fake commercials, newscasts, music videos, and anything else she could convince her friends to perform in. The fact that this eventually became a real career still doesn’t feel real.

Nearly two decades later, Jessie is an editor, producer, and storyteller who has worked across television, documentary, live entertainment, and digital media. Her credits span networks including Netflix, Amazon, CBS, NBC, AMC, Peacock, History, National Geographic, HGTV, Travel Channel, and Food Network, with more than 65 episodes of Beat Bobby Flay under her belt. She has also edited projects for The Public Theater and worked on live television including the Annual Tony Awards and nbc music events.

Jessie has spent her career on both sides of the production process, working not only as an editor but also in field producing, story producing, and shooting. That experience has given her a pretty good understanding of what it takes to get from a chaotic day of production to a story that actually works. She loves the puzzle of the edit, finessing frankenbites, playing with comedic timing, and spending an unreasonable amount of time finding exactly the right music cue.

And music is a big part of Jessie's storytelling brain. She's a classically trained soprano, has toured the country performing with indie pop and jazz bands, and is the founder of Rooftop Musical Society, an immersive musical theater company she launched in Brooklyn in 2018. Her background as a performer gives her a particularly strong ear for music, rhythm, pacing, and the emotional beats that make a scene land. After all these years, she still loves making a story come together in the edit, preferably with good music and at least one snack within reach.

She currently resides in the hudson valley, just outside nyc, with her british other half (adrian murray, also an editor!) and rambunctious toddler.
